Extra Credits

Overview

The course is offered with a standard of two credits. For those who would like to do additional work, there is the option to earn one additional credit. For that, it is required to prepare and present a fifteen to twenty minute presentation. The presentation is expected to be given in one of the lectures in Part 3. The following topics are available:

April 4, 2011: Nicole Shivers: Atmospheric loading (presentation)
April 18, 2011: Eric Kiefer: Geodesy and the solar cycle and magnetic field (presentation)
April 26, 2011: Josh Beckwith: Earthquakes and LOD ()

If necessary, additional topics can be offered. Interested students should send a mail to hpplag@unr.edu indicating the topic of their interest.
